Best Things to Do in Playa Blanca for Kids

Best Things to Do in Playa Blanca for Kids
15. October 2025 Category: Playa Blanca, Lanzarote Playa Blanca

Planning a family holiday to Lanzarote? Playa Blanca is one of Lanzarote’s most family friendly resorts. Whether you’re visiting for a week or considering making Playa Blanca your new home, there’s no shortage of activities to keep the little ones entertained.

From waterparks and mini golf, here are some of the best things to do in Playa Blanca for kids.

1. Mini Golf in Marina Rubicón

Mini golf is always a family favourite, and Playa Blanca has a fun little course, perfect for all ages. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon or unwind after dinner, especially when the Lanzarote sun starts to cool down. With colourful obstacles, and interactive mini golf fun, it is the perfect family afternoon to get the little ones involved!

Location: Head to the shopping centre at Marina Rubicon, and it is just outside. This is a great location for easy access to shops and restaurants before or afterwards.

2. Feed the Fish at Lani’s Snack Bar

A visit to Lani’s Snack Bar in the Marina Rubicón is a must do for families. Grab a snack, meal or an ice cream and head to the edge of the terrace, where you can feed the fish that gather in the marina waters. The amazing staff at Lani’s will give the little ones some bread especially for feeding the fish! It’s such a simple activity, but kids love watching the fish dart around, it’s one of those charming little Playa Blanca experiences that everyone remembers. (One of my little brothers obsessions is visiting the fish!)

Why it’s great: It’s free, fun, and perfectly located for a relaxed afternoon by the water.

3. Aqualava Waterpark

For a full day of family fun, Aqualava Waterpark is the ultimate attraction in Playa Blanca. With an all-day entry fee, you can enjoy the waterpark to its full potential including the buffet lunch and the ice-cream stand. There are gentle slides for toddlers, a wave pool for older children, and plenty of shaded areas for parents to relax.

Highlights:

  • Wave pool with gentle surf
  • Lazy river for floating and relaxing
  • Slides suitable for all ages
  • On-site café and picnic area

Aqualava is easily one of the best family attractions in Lanzarote, especially on a warm day when everyone wants to cool off and enjoy some adventure.

4. New Rock Climbing Wall in Playa Blanca

In the Parque Atlantico pedestrian zone of Playa Blanca, just 100m away from our Playa Blanca office, you’ll now find a brand-new rock-climbing wall, perfect for active kids who love a challenge!

It is not operational just yet, but the Yaiza Town Hall are doing their best to get this open as soon as possible. Once open you will be able to go to the town hall to book a slot with the group and enjoy this amazing new amenity. This new addition adds even more variety to the growing list of family-friendly things to do in Playa Blanca.

Once it is open, be sure to expect another post from me on our Facebook Page (@Lanzarote Investments Real Estate), including all the details.

5. Ninja Games Playa Blanca

If you’re looking for rainy day entertainment or just want to escape the midday sun, Ninja Games Playa Blanca is an excellent indoor activity for all ages (5+ years recommended).

This isn’t just a game, it’s an experience! The floor turns into a living, digital playground where every move you make sparks lights, sounds, and surprises. Step, jump, and watch the world react to you! With different difficulties and game modes, this is a perfect family activity to have a rest from the sunshine!

(I had a go, and it is surprisingly difficult!)

Location: C. de las Buganvillas, Centro Comercial El Pueblo, The Ninja Games

6. Family-Friendly Playa Blanca Beaches

Of course, no visit is complete without a day at the beach. Playa Dorada and the Town Beach (2025 Blue Flag beach) are especially popular with families thanks to their calm waters, gentle waves, and soft golden sand. The beaches have restaurants, toilets, and sunbeds nearby, making them easy for parents and enjoyable for kids of all ages.

You can rent a pedalo, try snorkelling in the clear shallows, or simply enjoy an ice cream while soaking up the sunshine.

Why Families Love Playa Blanca

What makes Playa Blanca such a fantastic destination for kids is its safe, welcoming atmosphere. The resort is clean, walkable, and full of things to do, whether it’s exploring the Marina Rubicón market, visiting the many kids play parks, or grabbing a family dinner along the promenade.

Families who visit often fall in love with the lifestyle here, warm weather all year round, friendly locals, and a relaxed pace of life that makes every day feel like a holiday.

If you’re visiting Lanzarote or dreaming of owning a home here, Playa Blanca is the perfect place for family memories, and for building a future in the sunshine.

As always, we are always here for a chat, just pop into our Playa Blanca office on the main pedestrian street if you are ever nearby!
